he leader of Opposition and DMK President MK Stalin has written a letter to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi requesting him to rectify the New Education Policy (NEP).
 
He has posted the letter in his official Twitter handle.
 
In his twitter post, Stalin had stated that the NEP is an unilateral policy and he condemned it by asserting that it undermines the Tamil language and its identity.
He further requested the Prime Minister to not implement the policy in the best interest of the students.
 
The New Education Policy introduced by the Central Government makes it mandatory for schools to follow the three-language formula.

According to the formula, students will study Hindi, English and one other modern Indian language.
