While India failed to win any gold on Sunday, but the eighth day of the Games turned out to be a Super Sunday for the Indian contingent as they bagged the most in a single day so far this Asean games .

Out of the seven medals which India won on Sunday were five silver and two bronze medals.

In athletics, the trio of Hima Das, Dutee Chand and Muhammed Anas clinched a silver medal each in women’s 400m, women’s 100m and men’s 400m races respectively.

Meanwhile, the other two silver medals went to Fouaad Mirza finished second in the individual equestrian jumping event and Indian Equestrian Team.

On the other hand, the first-timers at the Asian Games, bridge players, won two bronze medals for India

End of Eight day China tops the medal tally with 78 Golds amongst 175 medals  , Japan and Korea stands Rank 2 and 3 with 40 and 28 gold medals respectively  in their ketty   . India with 7 gold amongst 36 medals stand at 9th Position
