“Travesty of justice” A lone women pounced by CBI ED and NCB allege Rhea’s lawyer

In a scathing statement targeting the BJP led Modi government and also the  family of Sushant, Actor Rhea Chakroborty ‘s lawyer Satish Maneshinde termed it as a “travesty of justice”.
 
Rhea was charged under NDPS Act Sections 8(C), 20(b)(ii), 22, 27A, 28 and 29, for her alleged role in the drugs angle which has emerged in the investigations into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, allege  NCB Deputy Director M.A. Jain.
 
On Wednesday, Narcotics Control Bureau officials shifted Rhea Chakraborty to Byculla jail. She was arrested by the agency on Tuesday, in connection with a drug case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
 
The NCB is on record to say that “the bureau normally does not handle these type of cases”. Currently the NCB chief is Gujarat cadre IPS Rakesh Asthana known to be particularly close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who intervened and sacked Asthana’s then CBI boss Alok Verma in an unprecedented post-midnight decision.
 
At 3.30 pm as part of its probe to unravel the drugs nexus in the film industry, capping three days of tough grilling and intense speculation.
Along with Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty was also taken by the anti-drug agency
 
A local Magistrate in Mumbai sent Rhea to 14-day judicial custody late on Tuesday night.

As per IANS, in its six-page NCB remand application, Rhea was described as “an active member of the drug syndicate connected with drug supplies” who “used to manage finances for drug procurement along with Sushant Singh Raput” without any mention if she herself consumed drugs.
 
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday arrested Chakraborty, but reasons know to department later declined to take her into its own custody and instead sought 14-day judicial custody, which was granted.
 
The NCB arrest created silent anger and furore inside Bollywood film industry and certain actors shortly after the arrest teased the act and  tweeted openly 

Rhea Chakroborty 's lawyer alleged "Three Central agencies hounding a single woman, just because she was in love with a drug addict and was suffering from mental health issues for several years under the case of five leading psychiatrists in Mumbai, who ended up committing suicide due to consumption of illegally administered medicines and used drugs,"
 
 
Also Modi led centre BJP Government’s Enforcement directorate failed to proved actress Rhea transferred monies from actor Sushant account . 

In view of this development Actor Rhea Chakroborty and her brother Showik have approached the special court under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for bail as their pleas were rejected by the Magistrate court on 9 September Wednesday.
 
Showik Chakraborty, Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda and Sushant’s domestic help Dipesh Sawant, and Bandra residents Zaid Vilatra, Abdel Basit Parihar who were arrested for allegedly peddling drugs were produced before a magistrate court which sent them to judicial custody till September 23, said NCB officials.
 
In her plea, Rhea has stated that she is innocent and falsely implicated in the case.
 
Further, in her petition it is claimed that Rhea “was coerced into making self-incriminatory confessions and by her application on September 8 the applicant has formally retracted all such incriminatory confessions”.
 
They have all applied for bail but the matter has been adjourned till 10 Sept Thursday .
