Actor Kangana Ranaut has been summoned by Mumbai Police in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. She has been asked to appear before Bandra police to record her statement in the case.
Kangana is currently quarantining with her family in Himachal Pradesh. Her lawyer has stated that the family has reuqested the Mumbai Police to send a team to interrogate her statement, since she is in Manali since March 17.
A day after Sushant’s demise, Kangana had made a video talking about bullying in the film industry, especially towards outsiders.
She alleged that he was a victim of nepotism, even in her latest interview. Kangana had gone on to question well-known personalities like Karan Johar, Mahesh Bhatt, Aditya Chopra and others in the case.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his apartment on June 14, 2020. The Mumbai Police have stated that the 34-year-old actor died by suicide, but have been conducting investigation in the matter nonetheless.
The Mumbai Police has questioned Sushant’s family, friends, co-workers, pr team, and even his househelps.
Around 38 people, including Rhea Chakraborty, Sanjana Sanghi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra, Mukesh Chhabra, Shanoo Sharma and others, were questioned in the matter.
