Skoda is all set to reveal its first-ever electric product, the Skoda Enyaq iV electric SUV at a global premiere in Prague, Czech Republic On 1 Sept 2020 .
The coupe-SUV’s cabin shows a design that has moved on from current Skoda interiors, with a multi-level dashboard, large free-standing central screen, and minimalist look.
 
The 4660mm long Kodiaq-sized four-door coupé crossover is based on the VW Group’s MEB platform and, in concept form, uses a 306bhp four-wheel-drive EV powertrain offering a 500km range and the ability to charge up to 80 per cent in 30 minutes.
 
The brand’s first battery-electric SUV is the production version of Skoda’s Vision iV concept, which was revealed last year.
 
It’ll go on sale in 2021, with Skoda promising at least ten electrified models will launch under the iV sub-brand by the end of 2022.
 
Inside sources confirm the First deliveries of the Enyaq model are due in 2021. Based on the Volkswagen Group’s electric-only MEB platform,
 
Skoda will use this platform across all of the company’s brands. Pricing will be comparable with that of a mid-to-upper-range Kodiaq, so In india one can expect an entry-level price of around 34 000 Euros (approximately Rs 28.29 lakh).

The absence of a transmission tunnel in the EV allows “plenty of storage space”, according to the firm, alongside a compartment allowing two mobile phones to be wirelessly charged.
 
In India, there is still no word if Skoda Enyaq will make its way to our roads, however, Skoda Auto India has two new cars up for launch.
