Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) committee received 1,60,834 applications this year for the online counselling, whereas only 1,31,436 candidates have paid the fees.

This means 22% of the students that is 29,398 students in the year 2020 didn’t pay the fees for Online Counselling .

Even though 1,31,436 candidates have paid the fees only among them, 1,14,206 candidates alone uploaded their certificates.
It should be noted for the first time due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the TNEA committee has decided to verify the certificates without calling the students to the facilitation centres.

“Though the certificate verification for the majority of candidates has been completed, still a few students sought time to upload their certificates. Hence, the release of rank list is deferred to September 25,” the minister said in his statement.

Education Minsiter asked all students to check on www.tneaonline.org whether their certificates have been verified.
