Surprising the netizens, YouTube and Gmail witnessed a mega outage on December 14.

The users of the two popular websites also could not access them anymore.

“Something went wrong…,” said the webpage when the users in India and many other countries across the world tried to access the video streaming service.

“We are aware that many of you are having issues accessing YouTube right now our team is aware and looking into it.

We’ll update you here as soon as we have more news,” YouTube said in its tweet.

Similarly, the users could not access their emails as Gmail saw a massive outage too.

Many users took to social media like Twitter to share their experience of the outage using hashtags like #YoutubeDown and #GoogleOutage.

Some reported that they lost access to other Google platforms like Calendar, Drive, and Docs as well. Millions of Indian users have accounts on both these services offered by Google.

Any outage impacts not only the user experience but also the workflow during the coronavirus pandemic.

Many employees and offices are dependent on Gmail to exchange information as part of the work from home routine.
