On of the tweets among those is of BJP MP from Bengaluru, Tejaswi Surya, who had posted a communal tweet in 2015 linking Islam to terrorism.
 
The Firebrand MP Surya had posted the tweet back in 2015 before he became the youngest elected parliamentarian in the 2019 Lok sabha election. In this tweet, Surya had written- “In short: true, terror has no religion. But the terrorist definitely has a religion, and in most cases, it’s Islam”.

But now after the request from the government to Twitter, it looks like the party wants to clean up for the things Surya had said before being elected.

As per Times Now, under Section 69A of the Information Technology (IT) Act, the government made the request to Twitter on 29th April.
 
The Bengaluru MP’s tweet is among 121 tweets that the government has requested to be removed.
 
As per The Wire, Information Ministry reportedly sends a list of tweets to Twitter that are objectionable in nature- such as those opposing government’s stand on Kashmir issue or those which are allegedly pro-Pakistan.
