Farmers, mainly from Punjab and Haryana, have been protesting outside Delhi for over three weeks against the central legislations.
On Friday, DMK chief and Leader of Opposition, M K Stalin, party MP Kanimozhi and leaders of alliance parties participated in the protest here.
 

Stalin said, “BJP government  don’t care for people and only support and encourage corporates and give many subsidies to them,” the president said.

“India is in an agitative mode, particularly in Delhi. They (BJP government) are doing drama in the name of discussion,” he vehemently said .

“I welcome all our alliance party members, MLAs, MPs who participate in the protest. We observe two minutes of silence for those farmers who lost their lives in the protest,” Stalin added.

Lashing out at the BJP-led Centre, Stalin questioned the ”haste” in enacting the laws during the COVID-19 pandemic and also hit out at the union government over its labour reforms and the draft Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) among others. Stalin said 

Earlier Police denied permission to conduct hunger strike in the valluvar kottam premises that been earmarked as protesting venue . But DMK and alliance overlooked Tamilnadu Police denial and participated in large numbers to express their solidarity with North Indian farmers
