As many as 17 students class 10 girls were sedated and molested by a school owner in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar on November 17.

The girls were called to the school and asked to stay overnight on the pretext of a CBSE practical exam and were given food laced with sedatives. 

Over the night they were then molested and filmed  and later were allowed to return to their homes only the next day.

According to a leading media portal, the girls were allegedly threatened not to tell anyone what had happened or their family members would be killed. 

The girls belong to very poor economical backgrounds. Hearing and noted this barbaric acts the parents of two of the victims had tried to lodge several police complaints earlier as well.

According to the latest report by the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB), Uttar Pradesh tops in sexual offences that fall under the Prevention of Child from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act followed by Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.  

However it didn’t cut any ice ..  Then the affected  students parents then approached Purkazi MLA Pramod Utwal, who got shocked to know the developments and contacted the SSP( Local police) to initiate an inquiry. 

Purkazi is a town and a nagar panchayat in Muzaffarnagar district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is adjacent to the Uttarakhand state, connecting border of Haridwar district and Muzaffarnagar district.

Only after Local MLA intervention Local police acted and   FIR has been lodged against two individuals inclusive of the owner of the school where the girls study

When media contacted Local police refuse to answer for the query ” why at first instant they failed to register the complaint given by the parents against the owner of the school who asked 17 students to stay on the night for the “practical examinside school premises . 

According to police sources only one of the two has been arrested so far. Also now a internal police departmental inquiry has also been initiated against the Purkazi SHO for alleged negligence in the case.
