Nitish & Modi LS 2019 elections strategy murkier as Tejashwi gets bail

The Ruling establishment Janathadal (united) –  JDU  and BJP in Bihar hopes sunken  as in a unexpected development that  came as a major relief to the opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, son and political heir of party founder Lalu Prasad Yadav, was granted bail by a court in Delhi in connection with the IRCTC scam case.

Lalu, his wife Rabri Devi and Tejashwi were among 14 persons named as accused in a CBI case related to irregularities over a land deal for the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) during the time Lalu was Railways minister from 2004-2009. 

All the accused were granted bail and the court directed them to furnish a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh.

Lalu and his family are accused of receiving illegal favours in the form of land in Patna in exchange for giving maintenance contracts for two IRCTC hotels.

Lalu, who is already serving a prison sentence in multiple Fodder scam cases, surrendered before a CBI court in Ranchi on Thursday after his request for extension of parole was rejected.

The case against Tejashwi was perceived to be important as an order to arrest him would have hit the RJD’s campaign plans for the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Former young Dy CM in Bihar Tejashwi in alliance with congress and other regional allies spearheading movement against  Nitish &  Modi .,  all  along maintained he has been implicated in this case unnecessarily  by CM Nitish and PM Modi .

Tejashwi with his father Lalu inside jail but  single handily won all prestigious lok sabha interim elections against powerful Nitish Modi combo. 

The RJD won  Araria Lok Sabha and Jehanabad Assembly seats in the by-elections . “The more you pour the fuel of conspiracy on Lalu, the brighter will his lantern burn. Millions of salutations to the people of Bihar for upholding justice. This is a victory of truth over falsehood,” said  RJD supremo Lalu , whose party has the lantern as its election symbol.

It is important to note HAM party headed by former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi had walked out of the NDA on the eve of the Araria Lok Sabha bypoll early this year and joined hands with Lalu Prasad’s party.
