A Vice President of the BJP Yuva Morcha,Vasai has been charged by the Vasai police for allegedly molesting, and stalking a 32 year old woman over a week period  been filled FIR on June 2nd 2018 yet to be traced and arrested   

The accused took advantage  that the victim’s husband was working in abroad and she stayed alone, and demanded sexual favours from her, said police.

The accused has a similar case of molestation registered with the Waliv police station in 2013 when he was a Congress Youth leader and was suspended by the party and since then he joined the BJP,said police sources and is  to get married in December 2018.

The victim complained to the Local Crime Branch (LCB) Palghar and the leader was called for questioning on 31 May and later a FIR was registered by the Vasai police on 2 June. 

Roger Dias(34), a resident of Sagodewadi, Vasai allegedly harrassed the woman and demanded sex which she refused, he held her hand in public.  

Dias also allegedly threatened her with dire consequences and tired with mental torture, she complained in writing to API Prashant Langi, LCB, Palghar who called Dias for questioning and warned Dias to mend his ways.Said API Langi, the accused apologised to the woman and fell on her feet at my office, and also promised to  come clean .

As the woman’s husband is working abroad, she  south  time to consult him on this  case  but again trouble  been given to the victim  on 2 June , she complained to the Vasai gaon police station. We have registered cases under Section 354 (a)(molesting), and 354 (d) (stalking) of the IPC against Dias, and is absconding,said a Vasai gaon police official.

Meanwhile , Dias took to social media and alleged that the police assaulted him on 31 May at the LCB, Nalla Sopara office  and also complained to CM Devendra Fadnavis about the alleged police assault and Dias alleged that API Langi allegedly demanded Rs 4 lakh so as to not register a FIR.

To this API Langi denied the allegation and said in the first place the case comes under the purview of the Vasai police station and not the LCB, Palghar and we just guided the victim to approach the Vasai police and since she complained to me, I called Dias to warn him. Just because Dias  feared that a FIR would be registered against him, he took to social media and has even brought in the CM into the picture, said the official.

I am ready to undertake a narco test and I also want Dias to undergo the same, so that the truth prevails, but first we will have to arrest the absconding Dias,said the official.

Rajan Naik, president, BJP, Vasai district confirmed that Roger Dias belongs to the party and when quizzed whether he will be suspended for the crime, Naik said such decisions are taken at the Pradesh level and did not wish to comment further.
