Rahul Gandhi on Thursday continued to attack the Modi government on Rafale deal. And he again targetted Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who on Wednesday had given a long and detailed explanation on Rafale deal, claiming NDA got a better deal than UPA.
Rahul Gandhi responding to Jaitley’s points demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on the deal. He said, “Mr Jaitley, thanks for bringing the nation’s attention back to the GREAT #RAFALE ROBBERY! How about a Joint Parliamentary Committee to sort it out? Problem is, your Supreme Leader is protecting his friend, so this may be inconvenient. Do check & revert in 24 hrs. We’re waiting!” he tweeted.
In retaliation, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah claimed that the Congress President’s “lies” were evident by the difference in Rafale prices quoted in Delhi, Karnataka, Raipur, Hyderabad, Jaipur, and Parliament.
“Why wait 24 hours when you already have your JPC-Jhoothi Party Congress. Your lies to fool the nation are self-evident when Rafale price you quote vary in Delhi, Karnataka, Raipur, Hyderabad, Jaipur & Parliament. But the nation’s IQ is higher than yours!” he tweeted.
On Thursday, Rahul Gandhi joined the debate and to added salt on the BJP wound and said, “

With this Rahul Gandhi has again dragged Anil Ambani to the entire controversy.
Hours after the exchange of words between Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over the Rafale deal, Anil Ambani, whose company Reliance Aerospace Limited won the contract from the French firm, on Wednesday, brushed aside Congress’ allegations as ‘baseless, ill-informed, and unfortunate’. While addressing the media on the Rafale row, Ambani further said that the “truth alone will come out” on the same issue.
But with congress taken attacking stand and that makes Bjp goes in defensive mode that is been seen by political analysts as severe setback for bjp that has lost its major allies and facing a uphill task for making a comeback in 2019 election
