WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world, and now WhatsApp is set to get an exciting new feature.
The messaging platform is developing an ‘Advanced Search’ feature, according to WABetaInfo .
Already whatsApp already has a basic Search feature that allows you to find messages and chats, the Advanced Search mode however will be much more helpful than the current version.
Advanced Search will let you filter your search, whether you’re looking for photos, links, audio, documents, GIFs or videos.
WABetaInfo explained: “If you tap a media file, for example Photos, WhatsApp will show all messages that contain an image!”
From pinning important chats on the top to reading messages without letting the sender know, here is a list of WhatsApp tricks you should know about.
Thankfully, your history can also be easily deleted, using a ‘Clear’ button.
Your search results will also include a preview, meaning there’s no need to open the search result in order to see it.
But sadly for Android users, Advanced Search is currently only being developed for WhatsApp’s iOS platform.
However, WABetaInfo added that it will come to Android, it just remains unclear when.
