Congress president Rahul Gaandhi has launched a direct attack on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and demanded his resignation.
In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi alleged that Arun Jaitley’s daughter was on the payroll of fugitive businessman Mehul Choksi. However, the finance minister sat on the file and allowed Mehul Choksi to flee the country, Rahul Gandhi alleged.
Rahul Gandhi also claimed that Arun Jaitley’s daughter got money (from Mehul Choksi) from an ICICI account number 12170500316.
As usual, Rahul Gandhi has deliberately changed the finance minister name as Arun Jaitlie and demanded his resignation with the hashtag ‘Arun Jaitlie Must Resign’.
“Arun Jaitlie’s daughter was on the payroll of thief Mehul Choksi. Meanwhile her FM daddy sat on his file & allowed him to flee. She received money from ICICI a/c no: 12170500316. It’s sad that media has blacked out this story. The people of India won’t. #ArunJaitlieMustResign,” the tweet from Rahul Gandhi’s handle stated.
Mehul Chinubhai Choksi is an alleged Indian fugitive businessman and is wanted by the Judicial Authorities of India for criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, cheating and dishonesty including delivery of property, corruption and money laundering.
Choksi escaped from India after scam been broke put and holds an Antiguan citizenship, and is the owner of Gitanjali Group, a retail jewellery company with 4,000 stores in India.
An arrest warrant for Choksi has been issued in connection with the alleged Punjab National Bank fraud case. It is reported he and Nirav modi together looted Indian Banks 42000 crores by way of money laundering using bank guarantee Instruments He was allegedly involved in stock market manipulation in 2013 .
