UAE-based Sohan Roy has become first Indian in the world to own Rolls-Royce Cullinan. He has bought it as a wedding anniversary gift to his wife.
Named after the largest gem-quality rough diamond ever discovered, Cullinan sits between the Ghost and the Phantom in Rolls-Royce's line up. It is the latest luxury SUV from the legendary British car maker Rolls-Royce.
Unveiled in May 2018, the heart of the SUV is a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre V12 engine producing 563 hp of power at 5,000 rpm and 850 nm of torque at 1,600 rpm.
The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission providing a top speed of 250 km/h. Standing at 1,835 mm tall, 5,341 mm long, 2,164 mm wide and weighing in at 2,660 kilograms, Cullinan is a giant of an SUV.
Sohan Roy is a UAE-based entrepreneur and CEO of Aries Group. He is buying Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the most premium luxury SUV which cost him Rs 5 crore.
An elated Roy said,"I have always been an admirer of Rolls-Royce. I have been thinking of gifting something special to my wife Abhini Sohan on our 25th wedding anniversary, and was searching for something unique. The Cullinan met my expectations and I booked it straight away."
His wife Abhini Sohan is MD of UAE headquartered Aries Interiors.
