Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat said the organisation has the ability to prepare an "army" to fight for the country within three days if such a situation arises.
Bhagwat said this on the last day of his Muzaffarpur's six-day visit at the Zila school ground addressing the workers.
The RSS chief also boasted his Sangh's capabilities and said, "Sangh will prepare military personnel within three days which the Army would do in 6-7 months.
This is our capability. Swayamsewak will be ready to take on the front if the country faces such a situation and Constitution permits to do so."
Bhagwat also claimed that even though Sangh is not military or a paramilitary organisation, they practise discipline just like the army. He called the Sangh, a "parivarik sanghathan" (a family organisation) and added that RSS workers are always happily ready to make supreme sacrifice for their country.
Bhagwat also encouraged the RSS workers to set an example of good conduct in their personal, family and social life.
It is important to note BJP Modi government during June 2015 has given Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat has been extended top category ‘Z+’ security cover with the commandos of CISF having been tasked with the job.
As part of the security cover, the RSS ‘Sarsanghchalak’ will have about 60 commandos round-the-clock to protect him.
The VVIP commando unit of CISF is armed with sophisticated weapons like AK-series rifles and is equipped with latest gadgets for communication and anti-sabotage tasks. This unit is also identified as the ‘centre of excellence” for VVIP security in the country.
Sources said the elite squad will take over the security duties at Bhagwat’s residence and the vehicles in his convoy will also be changed as per norms set for a ‘Z+’ central security VVIP.
