Putting an end to the suspenseTamil film superstar Rajinikanth has finally announced his decision to enter politics at a fan meet today.
"In next Assembly elections I will form a party and will contest all 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu" said Rajinikanth.
"I want guards to stop people who are using influence and power. I don't want cadres, I want watchdogs (security) people who keep a check. I want a guard who doesn't knock the doors of government officials to get favour," he added.
"Our motto will be do good, think good, only good things will happen," Rajinikanth said. "We should not speak about politics till my next announcement. We should not criticise anyone or target anyone. We should wait till we are ready to swim," he added.
Also in thoughtful tone he retorted, "If we are unable to do justice to people, we will resign in 3 years".
Democracy is in bad shape right now, all other states have been making fun of us(Tamil Nadu), I will feel guilty if I don't take this decision now Rajikanth said.
I'm not worried by politics, I'm worried about the media," said Rajnikanth. "I am like a child. These people will ask questions and if I answer them, it will become a controversy," he quipped.
Earlier this week, the actor, while addressing his fans had said, "I am not new to politics. I'm there since 1996. I got delayed. Entering is equal to victory. I will announce a decision on December 31."
Fellow actor Kamal Haasan has also hinted that he is willing to work with Rajinikanth if the superstar ever decides to enter politics.
President of the Tamil Nadu BJP Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan has welcomed actor Rajinikanth's political entry. "Corruption free India and good governance is the sole aim of BJP too," she said.
Many of the bjp and Hindu front spokes person expressed their pleasure and welcomed Rajinikanth and expressed their wish of routing Dravidan parties that is ruling tamilnadu for 50 years.
