After 4 Years, Prime Minister Modi has completely forgotten about Lokpal bill and failed to implement lokpal despite being power for nearing 4 years says Anna Hazare.

“I Wrote 32 letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi But No Response Till Date” he added, "I did not receive any reply despite writing consistently to the Prime Minister. So, I wrote in one letter that you may not have been able to reply due to huge work burden, or else you harbour an ego,” said the social activist who came to participate in a two-day National Water Conference.

Hazare said it was only after getting no response to his letters that he decided to launch an indefinite agitation again from March 23, 2018, which is the martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.

He said his renewed agitation will continue till the law related to the Lokpal is not strengthened and farmers get total loan waiver.

He said the agitation will remain peaceful, adding that there was no difference between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party which are more worried about strengthening themselves but not bothered about the country or society.

On 18-Dec-2013, Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi praised Anna Hazare’s firm determination to run a campaign against corruption after passing the Lokpal Bill by Parliament.

Modi wrote on Twitter, the passage of the Lokpal bill is a fair gift of Anna Hazare’s struggle and determination. I pray for their good health. He congratulated the MPs too. Narendra Modi said, the passage of the Lokpal Bill in Parliament is the victory of all Indians’ efforts.

I congratulate all the MPs on this occasion. Modi said that he is also proud of the active roles played by BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley. He said, I am extremely proud of the positive and active role played by BJP MPs under the leadership of Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley in passing the Lokpal Bill.
